iSmartLamp Monitoring App is developed by Gull Technology. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information from users.

The app collects and processes:

Environmental sensor readings (e.g., gas levels, temperature, humidity) from smart lamps
The device’s current location (latitude & longitude) at the time of data sync or alert generation

This data is sent securely to our cloud server to help monitor mine safety and associate records with accurate geographic context.

2. Permissions Used

The app requires the following permissions for core functionality:

Bluetooth & Bluetooth Admin: To scan, connect, and communicate with smart lamps
Bluetooth Connect & Scan: For BLE-based data exchange
Location (Fine/Coarse):
Required for Bluetooth scanning and to actively collect the device’s location during sensor data transmission. The app uses the device’s current location (GPS) to associate readings with a specific place. If GPS is unavailable within a short window, a fallback value of 0.0 is used.
Internet & Network State: To upload synced data to our server
Camera: To scan QR codes for identifying smart lamps
Storage: For saving logs and reading configuration files when required

3. How We Use the Information

The collected environmental and location data is used solely for monitoring and reporting mine safety conditions. The app actively sends the current location of the device along with the sensor readings to our server, enabling accurate tracking of safety events in specific mine regions.

4. Data Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data against unauthorized access. Data transmission to our server is secured using industry-standard encryption protocols.

5. Third-Party Access

We do not share your data with any third-party services or advertisers. All collected information remains within the infrastructure managed by Gull Technology.

6. User Control

Users may uninstall the app at any time to stop data collection. No user accounts or personal identifiers are required to use the app.

7. Data Deletion

Users can delete locally stored data directly from the mobile app. Additionally, mine owners have full control to delete synced environmental data through the web dashboard at any time. No additional request is necessary for data removal.

9. Location Data Use

The app collects your device’s current location when it syncs sensor data from smart lamps or sends alerts. This location information:

Is not collected continuously or in the background

Is only recorded at the moment of a sync or alert

Is not linked to your personal identity

Is not used for marketing or tracking purposes

You may choose to deny location permissions, but some features (like Bluetooth scanning or map-tagged reporting) may not function correctly.
